Redmi Note 2 Prime: The Next Budget Phone in the Market

Mi again concentrates on bringing out budget-smartphones for the consumers. This time however wasn't any special with Mi releasing their 2nd generation Note series. This is a budget smartphone hence many people will be able to buy one. The phone was released in 2015 to compete against other smartphone manufacturers. Xiaomi are now slowly pickin up the pace in pulling consumers towards their end with feature and budget-friendly smartphones.

Also known as Redmi Note 2 Prime, the phone was released in August last year with a budget-intention in their minds. Weighs about 160grams, the 5.9 inch phone has a dual-SIM slot with Micro-SIM sturcture. 5.5 inches of screen contains an IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080px and a pixel density of 403. The phone supports multi-touch and runs on a custom-skin of their own, the MIUI 7.0.

The phone out-of-the box comes with android's OS 5.0 lollipop. Helio X10 chipset an octa core 2.2ghz A53 chip is supported by PowerVR's G6200. The Phone runs on 2GB ram with a 32GB internal memory. The camera looks decent witha a 13MP sensor with phase detection and also houses an LED flash. The camera is capable of shooting full HD videos at 30 frames per second.

There is a front facing 5MP camera which can take 720p videos. It also has an f/2.2 aperture capacity to take low-light selfies. All bands of Wi-Fi are supported on the phone and there is Wi-Fi direct and hotspot features facilitated for connecting your phones wirelessly. Bluetooh v4.0 is present on the phone with A2DP. GPS is standard with A-GPS and GLONASS. There is an infrared port too. FM Radio is present on the phone with the phone supporting USB-on the go in a microUSB v2.0 port.

This phone supports fast charging. A non-removable 3060mAh battery juices the phone.

The phone comes in five colors white, blue, yellow, pink and mint green.
