Prince William and Kate Middleton will be away from the Kensington Palace for their first official trip in Bhutan and India in their goal to strengthen ties between the UK and these countries. In one of their gatherings, they were supposed to be meeting Bollywood actress, Kareena Kapoor as one of their guests but the latter declined such a rare opportunity.

It will be on Sunday when the British Royal couple will have their first night in India in which they held a dinner-reception in Mumbai where the Bollywood star is part of the guest list. However, a source said that she would not be there without her husband, the actor Saif Ali Khan.

"Kareena has confided in her friends that since Saif is shooting and won't be able to make it to the royal reception, she also does not want to attend. Despite being approached by the authorities repeatedly, she does not want to go alone," a source said.

Prince Wil and Kate's presence in the banquet is meant to raise funds for three charities--Magic Bus, Doorstep, and Childline as previously announced by the Kensington press.

The India and Bhutan trip comes with a lot of purpose. For one thing, the couple would like to follow what Princess Diana did in 1992 when she visited Taj Mahal. Also, the couple also want 'to make new memories' in both luxurious spots of the country and its poverty-stricken slums. The visit also coincides the 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth.

As reported, the Royal couple will arrive at Mumbai India on April 10 wherein they will do some social functions like honoring members of the staff who died in 2008 of the Taj Palace. They were also bound to meet lots of people from different walks of life--from poor children of the slums to affluent entrepreneurs and the meeting of rangers who protected animals at the National Park among other various activities.

While Prince William and Kate Middleton will be away, their kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will be left in the care of their nanny, Maria Turrion Borallo. This would be the first time when the couple will be away from kids and it was expected that Prince William, who is protective and caring for the two, will be worried while they are not with them.

Despite the weeks-long trip, Wil and Kate's materinity nurse Sarah Dixon assured that it will have little effect on the little ones.

"It's often harder on the parents than it is on the children," the nurse shared.
