Gwyneth Paltrow has been the face of having a healthy lifestyle and organic beauty regimen to achieve timeless beauty. The details of such a very lofty idea has never been much discussed until this week when the actress-beauty entrepreneur revealed that she lets herself get stung by bees to remove toxins and promote balance in her system.

"I'm open to anything. I've been stung by bees. It's a thousands of years old treatment called apitherapy. People use it to get rid of inflammation and scarring. It's actually pretty incredible if you research it. But, man, it's painful," she said in an interview.

The method of apitharpy is said to have been practiced since early times in ancient Egypt, Greece and China and has greatly utilized materials derived from honeybees including bee venom, beeswax, honey and royal jelly. It has also been found out to effectively treat arthritis, burns, infections, gout, pain, gout, shingles and tendonitis.

That's not all that. The Goop owner is also said to have tried outlandish treatments and beauty tips like vaginal steaming in uterus cleansing and female hormonal balance, oil pulling in getting rid of skin toxins and dry brushing in promoting good circulation.

She also made headlines when she bought a synthetic snake venom cream for a hefty amount of $124 said to possess a topical effect like having Botox. Also, her back was once spotted having dark circles on it as a result from cupping, an Eastern practice where preheated cups were pressed on certain pressure points for detoxification and circulation.

Despite these, the 43-year old actress who is a mother of two once said that when she feels like just any woman when she is around with her kids Apple and Moses.

Hailed as People's Most Beautiful Woman In The World In 2013, Gwyneth Paltrow shared that she prefers to be makeup free when at home and be in her regular jeans and shirt.

The actress also credits her Tracy Anderson Method workout for keeping her stress-free and young-looking.

"It makes me look younger and feel strong. When I first started, I thought, 'I'll never be good at this. This is a nightmare!' But now it's like brushing my teeth, I just do it," she shared.
