Victoria Azarenka wins the Miami Open title 

Victoria Azarenka has finally able to achieve the feat of becoming the third women to win both Indian Wells and Key Biscayne in the same year. She now stands alongside Steffi Graf and Kim Clijsters. She had set herself some high standards throughout the tournament and has lived up to the expectations. No.13th seeded Azarenka successfully went past the challenge of Svetlana Kuznetsova in the final of Miami Open.

However Svetlana Kuznetsova, who had earlier had defeated Williams in the fourth round couldn't reciprocate the same in the finals. Victoria Azarenka registered a straight set 6-3, 6-2 win against Kuznetsova. Azarenka has 22-1 record in the year 2016 and expects perform well in the coming tournaments.Kuznetsova held her serve only twice in match, she was able to produce only eight winners throughout the game; Whereas Azarenka produced a staggering 23 winners.

Azarenka said "This gives me more inspiration and motivation to keep working harder, because this feels great" during the prizing ceremony. Moreover it is to be noted that Azarenka dint lose any set in the six matches that she played in Miami opens. She was successfully able to recover from foot and thigh injuries that she suffered. The runner-up Kuznetsova said "I would like to congratulate Victoria for doing such an amazing job this year and these four weeks," she also confessed that she had committed a lot error through the match. 

The thing that frustrated the both players was the hot weather. It was sunny, 88 degree afternoon. Frequent breaks were given throughout the match. Azarenka also had to face a code violation when she kicked a stray ball over the net. After which she commented "It was pretty tough conditions with being so hot, the ball was flying." Azareka is at her best form, while Williams has won a tournament since august and is struggling for title.
