Supergirl is one of most prized DC Comics-based hit TV series aired on CBS with famed producer Greg Berlanti behind its production. Berlanti was also responsible for developing TV screen adaptation of other DC heroes and stories like the Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow for the CW.

With co-producer Ali Adler, Berlanti created a Supergirl series premiere that glued 14 million viewers to their TV sets. As ratings posted record high, Supergirl was launched into a full-blown season consisting of 20 episodes on CBS.

Right now, two episodes are all that's left in the hit Girl of Steel series. The finale is due to be aired on April 18th with the title 'Better Angels' as reported by The Mary Sue. In anticipation of the closing season one episode, CBS is offering a sneak preview with an official description of the episode.

"Better Angels" - Supergirl is forced to do battle with an unexpected foe and must risk everything - including her life - to prevent Non and Indigo from destroying every person on the planet, on the first season finale of SUPERGIRL, Monday, April 18 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network," the description reads as quoted by We Got This Covered.

Supergirl fans thought that the series would reach a dead end after the show showed dismal ratings performance following a stellar premiere. However, a recent crossover with CW's The Flash resulted to the resurgence of high ratings making it one of the most requested service events by fans.

With a renewed hope of a season 2, fans somehow felt relieved after the creators of the show offered some teasers for the second season adding a slew of other heroes for guest roles like Wonder Woman played by Linda Carter. Another Flash-Supergirl crossover may happen with a purported reversion of roles.

"We're very lucky that the co-creators of '[The] Flash' are also the co-creators of 'Supergirl,'" said Alder as quoted by Vine Report as he discussed the future of the TV series.
