Joining the league of Google, Facebook, Apple and Samsung, Yahoo announced its first Mobile Developers Conference, to be held on Feb. 19 in San Fransisco.

During the one-day event, Yahoo and Flurry - a mobile analytics firm -   will feature what's next from Yahoo for mobile developers. Flurry was acquired by Yahoo earlier this year.

The conference will also include an address by Yahoo exec Simon Khalaf on "State of Mobile."

The conference will be mainly focused on mobile developers. Yahoo will also roll out "a suite of tools that will help mobile developers better understand their users and improve, grow and monetize their apps," the company mentioned in the blog post announcing the conference.

Interested developers can keep an eye on this Tumblr account, set up just for the event.

Since the beginning of this year, Yahoo has delivered mobile apps to multiple platforms and even managed to impress with some. Yahoo News app and Yahoo Weather app are two examples of its focus on mobile. Even the executives have touted the company as "mobile-first" organization.

"I grade our progress on mobile as an A," said Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, during the Yahoo's second-quarter earnings call, in July this year. "We invested heavily and are seeing incredible growth as a result."

"Yahoo's future is mobile and we are delivering our products mobile first," she added.
