LA Lakers D'Angelo Russell News: Russell's apology

After the Nick Young video leak, the headlines all over the country this, D'Angelo Russell is apologizing hard to move forward and regain the trust of his teammates According to Laker's news: Russell said he's already "getting over" the incident, but he can't force a friendship with the person he hurt the most, teammate Nick Young.

"It's kind of at this point where you need your space," Russell explained Friday. "You can't force peace. If it's not there you can't force it, you've got to let the time heal it."

"I'm the same guy forever, having confidence, speak my mind, same guy," Russell responded when asked if this situation has humbled him. "I don't feel like anything could change that."

Jordan Clarkson, mutual friend of Russell and Young, admitted that "elephant in the room" was definitely felt in the locker room this week. At the same time, Clarkson felt Russell handled the situation as best as he could.

"We felt it," Clarkson said of the tension. "But, D'Angelo handled it the right way, looked us all in the eyes as men, and apologized."

According to Yahoo.com: I am sick," Russell told The Vertical by phone on his drive to the Staples Center on Wednesday. "I am sorry about recording the video. I can't repeat myself enough on that: I am sorry I recorded that video. I feel horrible. I wish this never happened."

Russell told The Vertical: "Honestly, I have no idea. Me and Nick, that's our friendship: We play around a lot. Anyone who knows him and knows me, they know that about us. But I apologize for recording that video. I never intentionally wanted to hurt anyone. I never wanted what was said in there to get out. It was my fault that it did, but that was never intentional."

Russel has been apologizing for the video recorded.
