With only four days remaining in the finale of "The Walking Dead", fans just cannot contain their excitement amidst widespread fear that Daryl might be dead.

The death of a fan-favorite is a certainty as show creator Robert Kirkman has also indicated it in his recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. He said that the show will stick to the comic book story line where Negan kills a fan-favorite.

However, he refused to spill the beans on "who and how". Referring to the killing, he said that the act is an iconic moment and would be shocking and spine-chilling but they have refrained from playing it out exactly as in the book.

Notably, in the comic book, Negan, the leader of the Saviors, makes his debut in the finale and uses his Lucille (barbed-wire-covered baseball) to attack one of the Alexandrians.

But in the past, the show has deviated from the comic book script. Another fact which leaves ample room for more mind boggling speculation is the fake spoiler game on the TV show @midnight. On the show, Robert had created the death scene of Glenn at the hands of Negan.

He has not stopped yet and is adding further fuel to the guessing game. His statement at the premiere of "Fear the Walking Dead" is a case in point in which he said that the finale will be a "gut-punch" but also added that the viewers should be ready for a different ballgame, as per sources. Hinting at some major twist, he said that the fans might think that they know how things will turn up but actually they don't.

Ever since the last episode aired, the hype around the finale has ascended to a crazy high with conjectures swirling around in thousands as to which Alexandrian will die. With almost all the gang members held captive by the Saviors and the episode ending with blood spilling on the screen before going dark, it is truly becoming one hell of a speculation exercise.
