In the first episode of "Late Night with Seth Meyers", it was oblivious that Seth would start the show with a special mention of his newly born son, and the story behind it. The show, which was scheduled to kick on Monday was unexpectedly cancelled due to his wife going into labor suddenly.

As per Seth's narration in the introductory phase of the show, the birth of his son was no less than an adventure involving apps for contraction tracking, rushing out of the Uber cab, nurses running here and other erratic things to ensure normal operations and negate any form of emergency.

The baby boy came as a surprise to them, as he was expected a couple of weeks after. It was when Seth's wife went for a routine check on Sunday when she experienced unprecedented pain which led them to rush to the hospital. The series of incidents were terrifying and Meyers recalls that it was extremely difficult for them to keep their cool at that crucial juncture. His wife was screaming due to the pain and they could not wait to reach the hospital. The entire scenario was a perfect paradox to the Easter day, when they reached the hospital and found all nurses wearing bunny ears to celebrate the auspicious day, as per sources.

Seth explained the processes in the delivery room, to be one of the scintillating experiences of his life and giggled at himself, remembering the silly remarks made by friends on whether he was ready for all these.

The couple named their son Ashe Olsen Meyers, a name that relates the maiden names of his mother and his wife. There have been speculations on whether he named his son after Ashley Olsen, but all of these rumors have been overruled by the tongue in the cheek remark from Seth.
