The book by Seabrook was published in October 2015 that talked about some of the biggest pop artists, including Chris Brown and his tumultuous past with Rihanna.

By using a police officer's affidavit, Seabrook writes about what happened the night Robyn Rihanna Fenty, aka Rihanna, was riding with Brown in his Lamborghini when she confronted him about a text from another woman on his phone. In her exasperation, the singer slammed her hands on the dashboard.

Rihanna's reaction made Brown stop his car in the Hancock park neighborhood as he attempted to throw her out of his car, says an excerpt in Seabrook's book.

The New York staff writer, according to the book, writes that Brown got violent with her and started punching her as she refused to get out of the car. While he was driving with his left hand, he never stopped hitting her with his right hand.

As per the police report, in an attempt to cover, Rihanna "interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face."

Seabrook's narration in the book reiterates Rihanna's account as talked about the incident in "Good Morning America" in 2009. She said that she was punished for discovering his lie and still he didn't tell the truth.

Chris Brown didn't refuse to accept his infidelity with Rihanna. In an interview with a radio station, Brown admitted that he was dating Karrueche Tran while being in a relationship with Rihanna.

According to a news report, the text message that sparked the violence between the was an offer to "hook up later."
