Disney's popular show Girl Meets World is expected to air its third season soon. Excitement surrounding the series has led to rumors indicating that Season 3 might contain content that is not suitable to the average Disney channel viewer.

As the last season ended with the characters finishing middle school, Season 3 is expected to revolve around the characters' lives in High School. Most loyal Disney viewers have expressed concern over the fact that high school life might prove too explicit for young children.

According to reports, Michael Jacobs, the creator of the show, has said that the characters will find it difficult to adjust in their new high school during the first few weeks. Typical high school problems like peer pressure, boy trouble and the fear of not fitting in are regarded to be the themes the show will center on. Many viewers are of the opinion that such themes are more suitable to Freeform which already contains content suitable for a teenage audience. Since Disney focuses on family-friendly issues, fans continue to express concern over the content of Season 3, which is expected to contain the nitty gritty realities of high school life.

The primary advantage of shifting the program to Freeform is that the show will garner a wider audience. The show's ratings have been dipping recently, so a platform known for showcasing teenage-friendly sitcoms will prove more beneficial to the show during Season 3. Dealing with real issues will also increase the show's relevance. The disadvantage lies in the fact that only loyal fans of the show will continue watching it on Freeform. Furthermore, the content for Season 3 will have to be revised to suit an older audience, which Disney might not be in favor of.

It remains to be seen where the show will be aired and what adventures await the characters as they embark on a trip to survive high school in Season 3.
