NBA Trade Rumors: 76ers Planning to Trade Off Jahil Okafor? Can Joel Embiid Stay Healthy?

According to Philly.com, 76ers may want to trade Jahil Okafor this summer if they have confidence thta Joel Embiid can stay health to play for the team.

"Similar players, Okafor and Embiid are an unlikely pairing. They are both liabilities guarding athletic power forwards and chasing stretch fours on the perimeter. So the belief is that the Sixers may try to move Okafor this summer if Embiid is healthy. If he isn't, they have to decide between Okafor and Noel."

The 76ers chose Embiid with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. However, fractured right root have prevented him from playing.

Currently, The 76ers are one the worst team in the NBA and they are looking for some answers and considering to fix the issues with trading.

According to Inquisitr Okafor was first rumored to be on the trading list in January but he was not traded. Okafor is now out for the season and there's a good chance that the 76ers will not want to miss the chance to trade his this summer.

Still had an incredible season so far. Despite off-court incidents and defensive issues and injury problems Okafor averaged 28.6 points and 11.5 rebounds per 100 possessions on 51 percent shooting. Only 12 players in NBA history have had better rookie years than this record.

Jahil Okafor played his freshman season of college for the 2014–15 Duke national championship team. He entered Duke with widespread recognition as the preseason Collegiate National Player of the Year.
