X-Men movie franchise director Bryan Singer dropped a teaser this week regarding the change of costumes from the yellow-and-blue suits of First Class to a more Comic-based set of apparel.

In newly-released photos, members of the First Class: Professor X, Jean Grey, Storm, Cyclops, Night Crawler and Mystique among others let go of their usual battle suits that they have been using in their previous installments.

Nightcrawler and Mystique was wearing Dave Cockrum's originally-designed suit like what Cyclops did with Jim Lee's original concept of his strap suit and his signature goggles. Professor X with James McAvoy also take on a carbon copy of Professor X's blue suit and a shaven head.

And then, we are made to take a glimpse of the super villain, The Apocalypse, Ben Hardy's Angel, Oscar Isaac's En Sabah Nur. Photos of the super villain in his pre-archangel state in his previous life in a Berlin fight club was revealed. In the scene, he was spreading his wings supposedly provoked in the situation.

Hardy placed a very crucial role in the newest X-Men installment as the Apocalypse will be behind his Four Horsemen: Angel, Magneto (Michael Fassbender) , Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and Psylocke (Olivia Munn).  And without him, their powers will not be able to achieve some pressure for the X-Men.

Since it is certain that members of the X-Men First Class are returning, this also means the reprising of roles for Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters and Rose Byrne who will join new performers Tye Sheridan as Cyclops and Lana Condor as Jubilee.

While some costumes are true to its original design, some of them just derived inspiration from the original and had took on its embellished form.

Mystique's costume, for example acquired the blue and white tones of the original but X-Men movie creators did not copy the white dress in its comic version. The character's long, red hair was also not followed.

Jean Grey's apparel was also embellished to fit for the movie screen like what producers decision to give Beast a modern look. There were also revisions on Storm's costume particularly on her yellow belt which is replaced by a lightning bolt design across her chest.

X-Men: The Apocalypse will arrive theaters on May 27.
