Nick Blackwell vs Chris Eeubank: Nick Losses to Chris Jr: Suffers badly in the fight

The 25 year old Nick Blackwell had suffered a defeat against Chris Eubank Jr on Saturdays fight. He was carried in stretcher after the match was stopped; when the ringside doctor advised the referee to stop the match in round 10 as Blackwell had eyesight problems when it was detected that he could not see through his left eyes. Nick Blackwell lost his British Middleweight title to Chris Eubank Jr. Before which he had successfully retained his middleweight title twice against Jack Arnfield and Damon Jones. Nick Blackwell has impressive career record with 19 wins, 8 knock out wins, 4 losses and 1 draw in a total of 24 matches.

Later after the match it was reported that Blackwell has been placed in an induced coma stage after suffering internal brain bleeding which he had suffered from the match against Chris Eubank Jr. However sources close to Blackwell's team otherwise stated that Blackwell was stable and they detected no swelling overnight. The general secretary of British Boxing Board of Control Robert Smith said:

"I spoke to one of the doctors this morning and he said there is a bleeding of the brain. He is in intensive care, he's in an induced coma and he is resting and being looked after by the experts.It's a very normal procedure. They put you in a coma to get the swelling to go down. There's no time-scale. Now it's just a matter of waiting and seeing."

However it was Eubank Jr who dominated the fight in here at Wembley Arena and had bruised Blackwell's nose badly in round three and four before landing some heavy blows in round 7. Many boxers across the world has sent their wishes to Blackwell for his recovery, Former World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury, Former World Cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew and Former Super-middleweight Champion George Groves sent their best wishes in this regards.
