The Legend of Zelda Wii U release date has not yet been officially announced. However, good news for the fans is that there is no news about its push back by Nintendo either, which means that the game will release sometime this year.

The game producer, Eiji Aonuma, recently shared game update with eager fans. According to an interview translated by Kotaku, the producer said, "When we did Skyward Sword for the Wii, at the end stages of development, I was in charge of the characters' dialogue and the in-game text. And, now as well, it's like it was then. I had to work on text today, too." It seems a roundabout way of saying that The Legend of Zelda Wii U is at 'the end stages of development'.

"But, the game has really taken shape, and things have gotten easier. That means things are progressing well," the producer continued.

For the fans who have been following the news of the game and its release closely know that The Legend of Zelda Wii U was announced in 2013. In Electronic Entertainment Expo 2014, Nintendo revealed that the game will release in 2015.

As the fans were waiting for the famous game to launch in 2015, they got a word from the game producer that the release date will be pushed back and rather than giving a definitive release date, the team will focus on creating the best game that they can offer to the fans.

"Please look forward to it, because I think we'll be able to make 'something new' like Ocarina of Time was," Eiji Aonuma recently stated. If Aonuma is comparing this upcoming The Legend of Zelda with Ocarina of Time, the team really is confident that they will be offering a great game to the fans.
