Apple's recent iOs update v9.3 results in chaos for some of the second-generation iPad users

Apple brought out an update for iOs with v9.3 for their devices alongside updates for TvOS and WatchOS at their special event that commenced on the 21st of this month.

Their latest update contained improvements for their apps and bug fixes in security loop-holes for their messaging application, along with an additional add-on "Night Shift" that would produce a shift in the colors to a warmer end of the spectrum at night to help users sleep better than before.

However, things weren't as expected for older generation iPad users especially the second-generation devices. Apparently an unknown estimate in the user base, are complaining about bricked hard-ware after attempting an OTA(Over-the-air) update. Some of them have issues with activating their hardware post-installation while updating them over Wi-Fi or iTunes.

Users even tried un-linking their iPads from the cloud, but that didn't seem to work either with most of them waiting for a period of over 24 hours for the problem to be solved. The issue seems to be limited to the older version of iPads whereby the device prevents itself from activation resulting in authentication errors even in iTunes whereby users are required to contact Apple support for help.

A couple of users have been able to work-around the issue by downloading the latest update on iTunes through a mac and installing it over a wired USB connection but even then, this has worked for only a handful of them. Some of the users even took their hardware to their local Apple store seeking help, but only to be disappointed since Apple employees were not really able to assist them.

This is not the first time where users have experienced problems with their devices. From failing security tests to ineligibility of devices for service by anyone than at apple, this specific issue might only add up to the list.

While Apple themselves are yet to come out with a statement regarding the chaos with this latest update, it is always recommended to initiate a cloud backup of data on your device.
