Miami Heat veteran and ace player Dwayne Wade extended his sympathy to rival New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis after being forced out from the next games due to his injuries.

Davis is quite reluctant to miss the games with his team as he is expected to go to Los Angeles for debilitating medical procedures that involve a surgery for a torn labrum in his left shoulder and a tendon surgery in his left knee.

"It's going to be a tough road, trust me. When you're young like he is, you can bounce back from these things, especially with how advanced things are today. He's got all the talent in the world. I'm sure he's going to be fine," said Wade as quoted by ESPN.

His encouragement came ahead of Heat's Tuesday game with the Pelicans on New Orleans court. For the rest of the season, the franchise would have to manage the upcoming games with Davis absent from the games.

The Heat star was also in a similar predicament in 2006-2007 after leading the team to the championship. Like Davis, Wade underwent simultaneous shoulder and knee injuries.

"When you are young and at the level like he's at, you want to get back on that court and prove people right or wrong whatever the case may be. But just take your time before coming back and don't let no one rush you," Wade continued as reported by Nola.

Meanwhile, Heat continues its winning streak over a number of rivals in the Eastern Conference. On Tuesday night, the team finished 113-99 over the short-handed Pelicans. With so many injured teammates, New Orleans faced an uphill battle with Miami.

"All of us who were out there had to be aggressive. We have to just play hard, try to be aggressive and try to get wins," remarked Luke Babbit who scored 23 points for the Pelicans as quoted in a report by the Reuters.
