This would really go down as a deeply touching story in the history of fan-idol moments.

Xabi, a 9-year old boy, received the most adorable gift from his idol, Bruce Springsteen, when the singer fulfilled his wish and signed his apology note as per reports. The note bore a request for a signature from the singer to affirm his attendance at the late night concert, which was likely to result in late reporting to school, the next day.

Xabi is a die-hard fan of "The Boss", a legacy passed on by his father, who has been singing Bruce songs to Xabi right from the time he was born reports Fox News. No wonder, the kid was besotted and became a fan boy.

And when the father and son got a chance to attend their idol's concert, how could they say no? So, the duo went to attend Bruce's concert at the LA Sports Arena on Tuesday night. But the father was worried about Xabi reporting late to school the next day. So, they decided to go with some preparation and took a placard along with them which read-"Bruce, I will be late for school tomorrow. Will you sign my note?"

Little did they know that their humble request would work out and give them a chance to meet their idol. Apparently, the 66-year old singer saw the placard after three and a half hours of performance and sent for Xabi and his father to meet him backstage, in the dressing room.

At the meeting, Bruce told them that he knows of their note and would like to do the favors. After asking for his teacher's name, he signed the note, requesting the teacher to excuse Xabi if he is tardy.

He also autographed a picture that Scott Glovsky, Xabi's father, had taken at a concert in 1984. The father-son fans were touched beyond imagination and are grinning from ear to ear at having had such a wonderful treat at the hands of their idol.
