FYI reality series 'Married at First Sight' Season 3 resulted to disappointing endgame for Neil Bowlus and Sam Role. In the reunion episode entitled 'Six Months Later', Neil decided to call it quits with his wife Sam Role. While the separation left Sam devastated, the two appeared to be in talking terms and had chosen to keep their friendship intact.

In a recent magazine interview, Neil Bowlus revealed the reasons behind marital break-up. Getting married at first sight apparently didn't go well for him due to lack of intimacy with his spouse.

"I felt I was missing the ability to create a deeper, more intimate relationship. The first four weeks left an impression greater than I was aware of, and it prevented me from building anything more than friendship.... Nobody is at fault - it's just the way things happened. We learn, grow and move on," Bowlus said as quoted in an Inquistr report.

Towards the end of the season, Sam thought she could still find a way for both of them to work things out despite all the stressors that were taking a toll on their marriage especially with the short amount of time they had to know each other.

"I feel like once six months is over after the airing, that maybe things will be a little less guarded and maybe [we'll] wanna become a little bit closer. He always said he wanted to be married to his best friend, so the only thing I can hope for is to get close to him," remarked Sam as reported by Yibada.

Despite the divorce, the 31-year-old compliance specialist said that if he would have the chance to go through the experiment again, he would be more candid and specific when troubles were on the horizon. According to a report by International Business Times, he would still be willing to tie the knot again after the lessons learned. As for his current love life, Bowlus admitted that he isn't dating anyone yet.
