Given complaints of unsatisfactory battery performance of iPhones, a "battery" of rumors related to device's power supply will always garner attention. In the latest round of rumors, Apple is expected to ship its iPhone 7 with a considerably larger battery.

Leaked images claim to show an iPhone 7 battery with a power rating of 7.04 Watt Hour. iPhone batteries always seemed inadequate for the devices. On the iPhone 6S, Apple provided a 6.61 Whr battery.

While reporting the leaks, Apple Insider cautioned that the battery's performance cannot be known until other details are known, though it can be assumed that a bigger wattage is more power to the device.

Late last year, Apple launched a battery case for iPhones 6S and 6, acknowledging its user complaints that they were not getting enough juice out of their devices. Available for $ 99 in two colors, the case is said to contain an 1877 mAH battery that can nearly double a 4.7-inch iPhone's battery capacity. The added bulk to the phone with the battery case is a common grouse from users. Consequently, a larger battery on the iPhone 7 indeed seems much required.

Other rumors doing rounds include a ceramic body for iPhone 7 and a dual-lens camera module. A ceramic body is a far-fetched claim given prohibitive production costs; it is likely that the iPhone 7 will not look very different from its predecessor. Users anticipate it could get thinner as Apple is rumored to do away with the headphone jack. However, no images or case design leaks have confirmed the rumor.

Other images which surfaced earlier this week, showed the rear of an Apple iPhone with a dual-lens module. Two lenses on the phone can provide optical zoom and improve simultaneous photo and video capture that earlier iPhones managed with a single lens camera.
