Apple's 13-inch and 15-inch variants were last updated in May 2015. So it is safe to expect that Apple will release next big update on its March 21st event.

However, the Apple fandom is not gearing up for the much awaited updates but also for the latest MacBook Pro that is speculated to release on March 21 event. Cupertino-based company has launched its previous range of laptops around the same time of the year and the last update that MacBook Pro 13-inch model received was also last year. But the industry insiders say that as likely as it seems for new MacBook to be launched on March 21, it is also possible that Apple organizes a separate event soon after this one to unveil its latest offering. WWDC in June is the most plausible time for MacBook Pro to be released and this the month that the fans should be gearing for.

While there is no word about MacBook Pro, it is official that iPhone SE and iPad Air 3 will be uncovered on March 21. Another launch to look out for is the Apple Watch and new watch batch. However, to know for sure, the fans will have to wait for official announcement at the day of the event.

As far as MacBook Pro features are concerned, it will definitely come with a SkyLake processor, sixth generation chipset from Intel. As a result, the machines will be faster and the performance will be improved on the new laptops. When combined with the powers of El Capital OS X in Mac, the processor will also give laptops an enhanced battery life. The 2016 models will also be equipped with quad-core processors. Expect to see new MacBook Pros with a touch screen display and detachable screens, much like Microsoft Surface Book.
