Michelle Obama teams up with songwriter Diane and come up with a female empowerment song "This Is for My Girls" released on Tuesday (March 15) this week in part of the First Lady's campaign in encouraging young girls to go to school and get a college education.

Obama gathered artists like Kelly Clarkson, Missy Elliott, Kelly Rowland, Janelle Monae, Lea Michele, Zendaya, Jadagrace and Chloe & Halle, a group described by the singer-songwriter as 'We Are the World' meets 'Lady Marmalade' in an interview.

The single had its debut at the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas with the first lady sitting with hosts Grammy winners Queen Latifah and Missy Elliott.

Although, the discussion was focused on Michelle Obama's campaign for women empowerment, one cannot help but ask the First Lady if she is running for president now that her husband, Barrack Obama's term will come to an end soon.

"No, no. Not going to do it. The daughters of a president. Just think about it. Come on, young people. Not so easy. They've handled it with grace and with poise, but enough. Enough," she announced the disappointed crowd.

While reflecting on the end of her husband's term, she was in a giddy mood and injected a line from a Boyz II Men song It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday which prompted Diane Warren, who was also in the event, to ask the First Lady to sing a sample of This Is For My Girls.

Despite not running for office, Michelle Obama left a promise to continue working on her cause

"Just experiencing this journey with our young people of all ages, I will miss that as First Lady. But I'm gonna keep doing it for the rest of my life, so it's the people. You can't be in public life and not love people," she announced with her voice filled with emotions.

The single, This Is for My Girls is available in iTunes. It has been learned that proceeds of the song will go to Michelle Obama's Let Girls Learn initiative.
