AlphaGo vs Lee Sedol: Lee Sedol Was a Fast Learner Says Lee's Mom

Finally the match of the century between AlphaGo and Lee Sedol has ended. Google Deepmind's AlphaGo has won the series 4-1 astonishing many Go experters around the world and especially Lee Sedol himself as well.

The $1 million prize will be donated UNICEF, STEM and Go charities.

In an interview with Yohap News, Park Yang Re 70 years old, Lee's Mother said " If you teach one thing to Lee Sedol he would learn ten things out of it".  She also added " Lee was good at stuyding and he especially did well in mathematics."

Lee Sedol promised to win 5-0 or 4-1 to AlphaGo before the match. However, the result was the opposite. Lee could was able to barely snatech one game. (Match 4).

Mrs Park added " It's little bit sorry that my son lost, however I am so proud of my son for doing his best" smiling. "I am sure it's a great experience for my son to improve his Go skill continuously"

Lee has won a national Baduk Championship for Juniors when he was merely 6 years old.

Lee's perserverance and not giving up spirt against AlphaGo has inspired many non Go fans worldwide especially in Korea.

In the meantime, Korean Baduk Association has suggested a rematch to AlphaGo in several months. Google hasn't responded yet with any answer yet. At the sametime, Goog'e share prize has skyrocket during this event making this event as one of the most successfuly publicity with minimum investment in marketing.
