The glory days of palm-sized iPhones are probably getting some Apple fans nostalgic as the Cupertino-based tech giant plans on unwrapping its 4-inch smartphone at a March 21 confab just a day ahead before the company faces off with the feds over hacking dispute.

Eagerly anticipated by tech buffs, iPhone SE shall hit the market along with the main stars of the March 21 tech conference, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

However, the 4-inch phone reportedly lacks one of the most exciting features that Apple's newer smartphones have. According to a report by BGR, the handset does not seem to have the hardware necessary for the 3D Touch to work based on leaked images picked up from French tech blog Nowhereelse.fr. The report also said that most Apple users would have already anticipated it adding that the feature is only reserved for the premium models for now.

Meanwhile, rumor land is laden with speculative insights on the purported specs of Apple's mini-iPhone. Some analysts have been quite accurate in their description even before the official unveiling of Apple devices in previous years. Let's look at some of them:

Features- Citing research notes by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, MacRumors reported that the mini-iPhone will be fairly capable equipped with 64-bit A9 processor, 12-megapixel camera to support Live Photos, Apple Pay and NFC support, and memory up to 64GB of storage.

Pricing- Apple is known for hefty price tags for its handset lineup but iPhone SE is slightly different. As mentioned in Tomsguide report, the mobile device will cost around $400 to $500- a price lower than iPhone 6S initial pricing offer.
