Chrissy Teigen is not ashamed of her infertility and openly talks about it and her decision to undergo In-vitro Fertilization (IVF) in a recent interview that coincides with the release of her cookbook, Cravings.

After some time trying to bear a child with husband, singer John Legend, the model opened her mind to IVF and further willfully want a daughter for her first child.

"I've made this decision. Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, 'Let's put in the girl,' " she told People.

As to why Teigen wanted a girl for her first baby. This is what she said.

"I think I was most excited and allured by the fact that John would be the best father to a little girl. That excited me.It excited me to see ... just the thought of seeing him with a little girl. I think he deserves a little girl. I think he deserves that bond. A boy will come along. We'll get there too, so it's not like we really have to pick. But he definitely is very lucky to have a little girl. And this girl is going to be so completely lucky to have John as her papa - it's crazy!" she explained.

The mode-TV host's frankness about intentionally picking a girl for her first child, however, was slammed by some of her followers. Some of them enraged when she followed it with a joke saying, 'picked the embryo with a taste of bacon, ' E! Online reported.

"What happens if u kid decides 'she' wants 2 identify as 'he'? Y is picking gender important unless u hope 2 enforce it?" a follower wrote.

Despite the outrage, Teiggen maintained her cool manner in one post.

"What in the...she can do whatever she wants. People really reaching for outrage here. Mentions. In. shambles. Lol. 'what...what...what if....your GIRL wants to...be......chem trails.....and cis....and....vegan...and....other buzzwords...' stop looking HERE for s--t to be mad at. There are so many other things that deserve your outrage," she wrote.

In another tweet, she said: "What year is this!? And for the record, I am always happy and open to speak on infertility. The more casual, the better! I don't mind," as mentioned in New York Mag.

On the lighter side of things, Chrissy Teigen has accidentally included her private number in her new cookbook that perpetuated endless voicemails, Perez Hilton reported.

"Early purchasers of my cookbook were gifted with my tiiiiiny phone number on Pippa's collar on page 111. Learned this after 100 or so calls!" she informed her followers.

She, however, informed that she already changed numbers after the barrage of calls.
