Adele's performance at the 58th Grammys of the live version of "All I Ask" did not stun audiences like the way her previous singing numbers did. To address off comments from music journalists and the public, the singer offered an explanation on Twitter about her flat performance.

"The piano mics fell on to the piano strings, that's what the guitar sound was. It made it sound out of tune. Shit happens. X," she wrote as mentioned in Time.

"Because of it though... I'm treating myself to an in n out. So maybe it was worth it," she added.

To give a more detailed explanation about the technical difficulty, Neil Portnow, the president of the Recording Academy talked about it after the Grammys saying that his team had detected a mic error which they previously were trying to fix by replacing it with a backup system only to end up with a not-so-seamless result.

"We have backup systems and it order to get to the backup system, you have to cut off the initial system. Usually, it is seamless ... it was fixed in a matter of seconds, but we're never happy when something like that happens," he said.

With this, Portnow had even commended the British singer for giving a good rendition despite technical difficulties.

"To Adele's credit, she killed it, she did a fantastic job, the pro that she is. That was all an issue on our behalf. Kenny (Ehrlich, the show's producer) asked that we make that really clear to everybody," he said as mentioned in CNN.

Other fans on Twitter have another idea saying that the singer may not be wearing an earpiece that could help her clearly hear themselves while in a live performance, as mentioned in Time.

Despite the songstress' flat performance, Twitter fans and news outlet sources did not lose in her singing powers.

"Adele's pitch is consistently & historically flawless," one user said as mentioned in Sydney Morning Herald.

"We love you @Adele. #GRAMMYs," says People.

"Quiet. Adele is singing. #GRAMMYs," wrote entertainment Weekly.
