Days from now, the world will finally lay eyes on Samsung's new flagship phones for 2016- the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.

Fresh updates from rumor land is fueling excitement among fans and observers ahead of the Mobile World Congress on 21 February. If leaked reports prove accurate, then we may already have some ideas about the handsets' designs and other details.

Let's take a peek at some details picked up from a number of reliable sources in order to know what to expect when the unveiling of the much-awaited handsets arrives.

Pricing

According to a report by Slash Gear, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will reportedly cost around $785. Its variant, the S7 Edge, will be priced at $898. If the quoted prices are right, it would potentially hurt company sales and revenue just like what happened to S6 handsets. The initial pricing scheme ($953) failed to attract buyers forcing the Korean company to slash prices to make it more saleable to consumers.

Color

The devices will be offered in black, gold, and silver according to a tipster information mentioned by Tech Radar. While the phones are mainly guised in these colors, it's still possible that additional tints like white and green will be made available for buyers.

Battery

Battery lifespan is a major concern for smartphone-mad users who demand a longer energy life of their beloved handheld device. So as a response to an insistent public demand, Samsung will reportedly restore the ability of users to change batteries which was taken off from the S6 models. Also, the tech giant also increased the capacity of its new flagship from 2550mAh and 2600mAh to 3000mAh and 3600mAh for the S7 and S7 Edge, respectively in a sneak peek by Venture Beat.

Well, it still makes a lot of sense to treat truckloads of rumor with a grain of salt until Samsung unveils its flagship in the Mobile World Congress.
