One Direction leaves something nostalgic to their fans before taking an indefinite hiatus for 2016.

If you are a 1D fan, History might be all you need to invoke the presence of your idols even while they are not making any new single or making any appearance online or on TV

According to The Verge, History is the third single off of One Direction's fifth album, Made in the AM as a tribute to their fans. It, literally, tracks down the history of the band since they auditioned in X-Factor with some scenes with Simon Cowell, years when they careers are gaining popularity until such time when Zayn Malik left the band in 2015 to pursue a solo project.

The video shoot in somber black-and-white atmosphere ended with the boys--Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson making a group hug before they went out on their own separate directions. Sad.

Talking about project, Louis Tomlinson will surely be busy in the next years with his new 'baby project', the arrival of his son Sydney Rain in this world.

Because the song is a tribute to their fandom, some fans were given the chance to participate by singing as back vocals.

The release of the music video for History triggered more votes for the song and thus making it back to the Number 1 spot at the Billboard charts. It is also now included in Twitter's Trending 140 and has been one trending topics in the social media platform since January 16, Billboard said.

THIS IS NOT THE END, THIS IS NOT THE END," a commenter said on Youtube as mentioned in Stuff.co.nz.

"This video seems like a goodbye Damn, I'm crying so hard," another one said.

"Love that they still include Zayn."

One Direction's History is the third single following Drag Me Down and Perfect with producers John Ryan and Julian Bunetta.
