Eminem's former sister-in-law, Dawn Scott, was found dead on Tuesday in a mobile home at Motor City Trailer Park in Detroit, a location near to where she and Eminem grew up together. Toxicology tests later on confirmed that her cause of death was due to a heroin overdose, Daily Mail said.

In a previous interview with Dawn's on-and-off boyfriend Les Martin, he talked about his girlfriend's substance abuse.

"Heroin, cocaine, Adderall. If it was a pill, she would take it. Klonopin were her downfall. She was swallowing them things like candy,"

Dawn is said to have kept a long association with the 43-year old rapper since they were teenagers when her sister, Kim ran away with the rapper and married him.

In the previous months, it was reported that Dawn was living with Les Martin who said that they had asked for help from Martial Mathers (Eminem's real name) and his then-wife Kim for help but the two refused.

"I've been trying like hell to save her life. I've had numerous conversations with Kim about trying to get her help and it just wasn't a conversation she wanted to have. She wanted to let Dawn go. I was so frustrated I was like, "Do you have a $10 million insurance policy on her?"' Les Martin said as originally reported in Radar Online.

In August, the publication had the chance to talk to Dawn who shared, "One night I called my sister and told her I had nowhere to go...She said, "That's not my problem. Don't bother me," and hung up."

Dawn is not only Eminem's former sis-in-law but also the biological mother of his adopted daughter, Alaina.

Inquisitr gathered previous reports saying that Dawn Scott claimed not to have met her daughter every weekend as what was previously agreed in the custody. She also accused the rapper of physically abusing and cheating on her sister during their marriage.

Meanwhile, Radar Online learned that friends and relatives close to the deceased are have made arrangements on her funeral services.

Some of them also posted messages of condolences as learned in a nearby funeral home.

"Loving mother of Alaina, Adam, and Patrick; Cherished sister of Kimberly Mathers; Beloved daughter of Casimer and Kathleen Sluck; Dear Aunt of Witney Scott, Hailie Scott, and Parker Scott; Dawn is survived by many extended loved ones and friends," goes one of her obituaries.
