Jimmy Fallon had a lot of minor accidents last year which made sources believe that the TV host has a drinking problem causing him to be careless in his actions.

During the Television Critics Association winter press tour in Wednesday, NBC entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt, addressed rumors about Jimmy Fallon saying they are exaggerated, LA Times said.

"He doesn't have a drinking problem that any of us know about. He goes out and has fun and he's had some accidents," he said during the gathering.

He went on saying that the network's officials are "always worried about his safety and health and yeah, there's been conversations about that, [but] the stories are exaggerated about all of it."

Rumors got heightened last year when the 41-year old comedian talked about his finger injury during his show in July. Also, in August, he chipped a tooth and in October, he trip again, now injuring his hand.

He made a joke about his July mishap in an episode saying, "Basically, what happened was I tripped and fell in my kitchen on a braided rug that my wife loves and I can't wait to burn to the ground," New York Daily News said.

In August, he talked about how he chipped his tooth by having an extended episode in his show.

"Chipped front tooth trying to open tube of scar tissue repair gel for recovering finger injury," he shared.

Amidst these incidents, various sources have spotted Fallon frequenting clubs in and bars, according to New York Daily News. And in a 2014 profile in Vulture, comic Seth Herzog mentioned how famous the TV host in the streets of New York.

"In 2000, Jimmy threw this dude out of a bar, or poured his beer on someone, or got on a table and sang a song," he said.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Fallon has been one of NBC's favorite hosts with the TV station defending him in November when his rumors about his mishaps become trending, EW reported.

"Jimmy Fallon is a highly valued member of the NBC family. His dedication in putting on a great show each and every night is unparalleled. We are proud of his accomplishments on and off camera and look forward to working with him for many years to come."
