George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin's 17th century mansion is recently attacked by severe flooding when heavy rainfall prompted the rise of the water level at the Thames River.

According to Telegraph UK, the Environment Agency previously issued a warning that houses in the Sonning-on-Thames, Berkshire vicinity where the Clooney's mansion is located is included in the flooded areas.

"Levels on the River Thames at Reading have risen in response to recent rain. Showers on Monday may lead to flood water flowing out into low lying areas today," a spokesman of the weather agency previously announced.

The area is surely to include other mansions who formed part of the Clooney's neighbors. These mansions, for example, are owned by Home Secretary Theresa May and Led Zeppelin founding member and guitarist Jimmy Page.

In the publication's latest update, it was said that the flooding has already reached the actor's garden, yards before their front door. It is also said that more water is slowly seeping around the mansion's fenceline perimeter.

The Clooneys had just recently finished their latest renovation in putting up a pool house. In an attempt for the structure to be saved from flooding, the workers 'had to pack up a set of wellies' protecting the pool house from getting muddied from flood water, Mirror said.

It can be remembered in previous rumors that the construction of the pool house, the cinema room and the installation of the celebrity couple's massive CCTV security cameras met a lot of criticisms from neighbors who claimed that they have been distracted by the 'noisy and ugly construction' that happened.

The Grade II-listed Aberlash Manor in Sonning, Berkshire is George Clooney's gift to his bride, Amal Alamuddin who also gave him Cocker Spaniels during their wedding in September last year, The Sun recalled.
