Chris Hemsworth's Weight Loss Affects Relationship With Wife

Chris Hemsworth has lost 33 lbs for the upcoming movie In The Heart Of The Sea. As to how his how his wife, Spanish model, Elsa Pataky, reacted to his body change, this is what he said.

"She had to put up with my moods unfortunately," he said in an interview with People with him further saying that her wife has been very supportive with him in his weight loss journey.

"She's great. I'd kind of done it before in Rush but not to this extreme. By the end of it she was happy for me to start eating again," he further said during the New York premiere film.

The 32-year old actor further revealed that he has treated his self for a food feast after the movie production was over.

"We went to an Italian restaurant and had all sorts of pasta and pizza and all the wrong things. It gave me a bit of a food hangover to honest with you. I hadn't eaten anything like that for a while," the actor confessed to the publication.

Hemsworth, who was once declared as The Sexiest Man Alive, has said in a Good Morning America interview on Monday that he is under strict dieting and workout to achieve his desired weight that could give justice to his character, Owen Chase who got stranded in the sea for 90 days after a massive whale destroys his ship.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the Aussie actor said that he has stick to his 500-calorie requirement which consists of boiled eggs, salads.

"In order to do it justice, the story, we had to suffer in some way and we did. In other words, not a whole lot of acting was required. We were desperate," he said during the interview.

Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth is preparing for another upcoming superhero movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

For next year's The Huntsman: Winter's War, Hemsworth will be working with three powerful women in Hollywood: Emily Blunt, Charlize Theron, and Jessica Chastain, Cinemablend reported.
