Sinead O'connor drew attention after posting a very disturbing note on her Facebook on Sunday that leads her readers to think that the singer is about to commit suicide.

"I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I'm at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name If I wasn't posting this, my kids and family wouldn't even find out. Was dead for another fortnight since none of them bother their hole with me for a minute. I could have been dead here for weeks already and they'd never have known," the singer wrote via People.

The lengthy message goes on with the Irish singer talking about the 'appalling cruelty' she experienced and has shared in detail her custody battles with two ex-husbands for her kids, Shane Lunny, 11, and Yeshua Bonadio, 8.

"Here's your court order Donal Lunny! It says joint custody. You and jake are going to jail under the terms of the order you falsely claimed supported you in preventing me from seeing my son, you both lied to the Gardai last night! Engaging in criminality!" she wrote.

The Nothing Compares 2 U singer also mentioned the dire conditions she is in such as being 'in need of a job' and her feeling of hopelessness and 'being treated as a scum.'

However, an update from Gardaí at Pearse St station via Breaking News.ie reported that the singer is 'safe and sound' and has received medical assistance.

A screen shot of her message has also been posted in the site.

According to The Independent, the songstress underwent a hysterectomy in August that led her to cancel succeeding concert dates for 2015.

In a previous post, Sinead O'connor described her condition that time as having a 'life-threatening illness.'
