Tyson Foods Inc. is recalling 52,486 pounds of chicken wings over concerns that these products have been adulterated, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) reported.

According to the recall, consumers have alerted the company about an "off odor" scent while some consumers have reported mild illnesses. After receiving these complaints, Tyson Foods alerted the FSIS, who is responsible for conducting recall effectiveness checks. FSIS makes sure that companies are effectively removing their recalled products from stores.

The recall involves, per the news release:

28-oz. bags containing multiple pieces of "Tyson Any'tizers Fully Cooked Hot Wings" with sell by dates of October 24, 2016 and October 25, 2016, packaging dates 2975PBF0508-23/2985PBF0500-01 and case codes 2975PBF0508-23/2985PBF0500-01.

The establishment number, "P-13456," can be found on the back of the bag and on the USDA mark of inspection.

There have been no adverse reactions reported. Consumers who are concerned about their health should contact their doctor. The company is urging everyone who has purchased this item to throw it away or return it.

The recall is being classified as Class II with a low health risk. A Class II recall classification is defined as "a health hazard situation where there is a remote probability of adverse health consequences from the use of the product."
