In a shocking incident, a man in New York is accused of not only killing his mother by strangling her but for also keeping her body in the motel room where there lived. Police in South Carolina told that the body was kept in the room for two months before it was dumped. Charles R. Cole, the accused, was arrested on Friday for killing Betty Cole, his 76-year-old mother, reported NBC News

The investigation for the killing began on 6th October after a tip was received by the police from one of the family members who filed a missing's complaint for the victim. According to the detectives investigating the case said that Cole murdered his mother on 16th August at the Pleasant Valley Motel where he lived along with his spouse, Ronalda Cole. After murdering his mother, he kept her body there for at least 7 weeks. He allegedly stored the body in a plastic bin and took with him to a lodge In South Carolina from New York, some 80 miles off New York City. Once he reached a secluded spot, he dumped his mother's body. "I find it hard to imagine circumstances that could lead to a son strangling his mother, but to also live with her body in a motel room for seven weeks and to then travel several states away to dump her body like trash makes this a particularly disturbing and unusual case," said John Ryan, State Police Captain, as reported by USA Today

Cole was arrested for murder and has been imprisoned without bail. Cole's wife has also been charged for tampering with the evidence and was imprisoned with bail of $10,000. Dead body of Betty Cole was discovered on 17th October and it is still unclear as to why he went to South Carolina to dump it, says Fox News
