Moussa Koussa was the name given to the "highly classified" source that Hillary Clinton mentioned in an old email and was released by Republicans last week who have investigating the attack in Benghazi, Libya on the American consulate. The chairman of Benghazi committee, Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, instructed that the name of Koussa be boycotted in an email issued publically. Republicans proclaimed that if his identity is revealed, it would compromise the national security. The media used this potent information blaming Clinton for sending classified information using her personal email, said a comprehensive article in Newsweek.

However, the point here is that neither CIA nor the Defense Intelligence Agency ever or even the FBI ever said that his name is a secret. Koussa's role as a source of intelligence was never classified. He was formerly the Chief and foreign minister of Libya who fled in 2011 to Great Britain providing lots of potent intel to CIA and MI6. Koussa had always been cooperative with the Government, as the documents released revealed. His name has never been mentioned in hush tones. In fact, it was common for him to be mentioned in the newspapers with regards and his assistance was casually discussed. He eventually moved to Qatar after sanctions against him were lifted by the British and the Americans. All of this has been public knowledge, says the article.

But Benghazi committee along with the Republics rolled out false information to hard-hit the Hillary Clinton Poll. This fact has also been agreed by Kevin McCarthy, House of Republican Leadership, that it was part of the campaign to drive down Clinton. Some journalists along with the Republicans have called Clinton reckless and blame her for breaking the law by sending an email that included Koussa's name in it. What shows here is the thoughtless manipulation of the electoral process by using the Benghazi incident for their political advantage.
