Gamers who plan on purchasing the DVD disc for the highly anticipated video game, Fallout 4, should know that they will still be required to download a portion of the game from Stream.

Pete Hines, the Vice President of PR and Marketing of Bethesda Softworks, the developer of the game, revealed on Twitter, "[Fallout 4 on PC] comes with a disc and a steam authentication key. if you don't have a DVD drive, you can just use the [Steam] key. The game disc has actual install data ... though you will still have to download from Steam. The disc doesn't contain the entire game."

Hines explained that the reason why PC needs activation whereas the console does not is because the PC "ships on DVDs" and the "console does not."

Hines added that Bethesda has been doing this for years already.

"We've been doing it this way more or less for 10+ years. Seems to be doing ok. Lots of people bought Skyrim, Wolfenstein, etc ... This isn't new. We have been doing this for all our PC games for a while now." Hines tweeted.

Hines also previously teased that he believes PS4 gamers will be "pleased" with the game and that the game is really "solid" on the console.

Fallout 4 comes out on November 10 at 12:01 p.m. ET for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

In the meantime, while fans continue to wait for Fallout 4, they can head over to Bethesda's Online Store, where a Great War Sale Event is happening. Fallout 4-themed items will be available for purchase until Monday, Oct. 26.
