Gwen Stefani debuted a very emotional ballad titled "Used to Love You" at her MasterCard Priceless Surprises concert in New York City this past Saturday.

"I'm talking about pain and love and my real life, and I just want to say thank you for listening. And I just want to share a song that I wrote recently," the singer who filed for divorce from her husband, Gavin Rossdale, roughly two months ago, said. "This song is really special. I think this is gonna be the new single."

This is not the first time that Stefani has used a breakup to fuel her music. In 1996 when Stfani was a part of the band, "No Doubt," she co-wrote their hit single, "Don't Speak," which was about her breakup with the band's bassist, Tony Kanal,

Stefani and Rossdale got married in 2002. The couple has three sons, Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 1. They announced their split during the summer and Stefani filed for divorce in August.. The rumors claimed that Rossdale had cheated on The Voice coach.

Some of the lyrics to "Used to Love You" were:

"Yeah, boy / Thought this would happen / I let it sink in / You're gone,"

"I don't know why I cry / But I think it's 'cause I remembered for the first time / Since I hated you / That I used to love you."
