Bobby Brown, the father of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown, is working on a "raw and unvarnished" memoir that will be released in June 2016.

The 46-year-old entertainer and ex-husband to the legendary singer, Whitney Houston, who died in 2012, revealed that working on the book, "My Prerogative," has been therapeutic. He agreed to the book deal with Dey Street Books before the death of Bobbi Kristina.

"Right after I signed on to write my story, I went through one of the most agonizing traumas I had ever experienced with the death of my daughter," Brown said. "But I was surprised by how therapeutic it was to work on this project, to look at the entire arc of my life and to realize that although there has been considerable pain, I have also been incredibly blessed. I hope my fans and other readers of this book will be entertained by this trip into the crazy, exciting, fascinating world of Bobby Brown. And I hope they will feel that I have been as honest and open with them in these pages as I have tried to be my entire life."

"My Prerogative" will cover Brown's entire life, including his rise to game, his romance with Houston and the tragedy of losing a daughter so early. There are no details regarding the financial terms of the book deal.

"'My Prerogative' is the story of a man who has been on the top of the mountain and in the depths of the valley and who is now finally ready to talk about his career and family life, from the passion and the excess to his creative inspirations and massive musical success," the publisher's statement read.

Bobbi Kristina passed away on July 26 at the young age of 22 after being found unconscious in her bathtub back on January 31. Her death is currently being investigated. Her boyfriend/fiancé, Nick Gordon, is rumored to be the lead suspect in the investigation. Court documents are claiming that Gordon gave Bobbi Kristina a toxic cocktail.

"Ms. Brown died due to a violent altercation with Defendant (Gordon) after which he placed her in a bathtub, unconscious, after he injected her with a toxic mixture," the lawsuit filed by Bobbi Kristina's conservator Bedelia Hargrove read according to local Atlanta affiliate WSB-TV.

Gordon has not been charged with anything in relation to Bobbi Kristina's death.
