A lot of dead characters appear to be returning to "Games of Thrones" season 6.

Based on rumors and celebrity spottings, here is what we know so far about season 6.

SPOILERS ALERT**

1. Lena Headey, aka Cersei Lannister, Films in Croatia

Contrary to early reports that "Games of Thrones" will not be filming in Croatia, the show's cast and crew have been spotted in Dubrovnik. Based on photographs published by the Croatian newspaper, Slobodna Dalmacija, Headey was seen filming a scene in the same location where her character, Cersei, had shipped her daughter, Princess Myrcella Baratheon (Nell Tiger Free), away to Dorne. In case you do not remember, Myrcella was poisoned to death by Ellaria Sand as revenge.

At the location, Headey was spotted next to Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane (Hafthor Julius Bjornsson). The Mountain was killed by Oberyn Martell in season four but was revived by Qyburn. Fans are speculating that Cersei will find out that her only daughter has died in this scene.

2. Jon Snow is Alive!

The fate of Snow (Kit Harington), who was stabbed to death by the men of the Night's Watch, has been questioned endlessly. Due to spottings of Harington on set in Northern Ireland, fans are assuming that Snow did not die, or at least was revived from his death. The most popular theory is that Snow was revived by Melisandre.

Harington was spotted wearing Stark armor while filming a battle scene. In the epic battle scene, fans are speculating that Snow will be trying to win back Winterfell from House Bolton.

Filming in Corbet, Northern Ireland, however, has reportedly been delayed due to the locals. The locals reportedly are not happy that the show is building a large structure.

3. Shae is Back?

Shae, played by Sibel Kekilli, was spotted with producer, David Benioff, in Peniscola, Spain where the Meereen scenes are filmed. Fans watched as Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) strangled Shae to death, but it seems like Tyrion's ex-lover is still a part of the story. Kekilli was also spotted next to Conleth Hill, who plays Lord Varys.

4. Rory McCann returning?

Rory McCann, who plays Sandor Clegane/The Hound (The Mountain's younger brother), was spotted in Belfast back in August. Although he has not been spotted on set, he was reportedly staying at the hotel that "Games of Thrones" actors frequented.

"I've heard from a source whom I trust, who has provided us reliable information going back several years, that Rory McCann was seen recently staying at a hotel in Belfast commonly used by HBO and Game of Thrones cast members during filming," Watchers of the Wall had reported.

A very wounded Sandor was seemingly left to die after Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) could not put him out of his misery by killing him.

5. Tower of Joy Filming has started

Filming for the Tower of Joy scene in Spain, at the Castillo de Zafra in Campillo de Dueñas, is reportedly set to begin over the next few days. Fans are particularly excited about this scene because they believe that it will reveal Snow's heritage.

One of the most popular theories is that Snow's real parents are Lyanna Stark, Ned Stark's sister, and Rhaegar Targaryen, Daenerys Targaryen's brother. Fans believe that in the scene, Lyanna will make Ned promise her that he will raise Jon as his own child. Although Sean Bean, who plays Ned, has stated that he will not be returning to the show, some fans claim to have spotted him in Spain.

For the flashback scenes, 13-year-old Sebastian Croft has reportedly been cast to play young Ned.

With more filming underway, fans can expect more spoilers before the premiere next spring.
