Goodbye or her lucky break; Pippa Middleton has finally exposed her relationship status as she has broken up with her longtime partner, Nico Jackson. The Swiss banker and Duchess of Cambridge’s sister have finally abandoned their three year old, resilient relationship, according to Us Weekly.

Pippa is officially a single lady now and as per E! News, their relationship has been facing an assorted number of challenges and trials for about a year. The couple was the most talked about when they became entangled in rumors regarding their engagement back in 2013, but seems like the young hunk and Catherine’s sister is not destined to be together.

Delving deep into the main cause of the event, the grounds are still vague and not completely highlighted.

“It was mostly due to geographical issues,” the source says. “They were rarely together since his move [to Switzerland] and it just caused too much strain on their relationship. They still love and respect each other.”

Their stable association led to a rocky road when Jackson resolved to settle in Geneva to pursue his work, last summer. Afterwards, the pair started to have complications as they were unable to see each other on a regular basis. With no options left, they decided to put an end to their long distance relationship and continued with lives on their own.

"Long-distance didn't work, especially with how busy Pippa was," a source told E! News. "A lot of their problems stemmed from the fact she was always busy working—as was he—and they never had time for one another."

It is assumed that the 32 year old Pippa is not ready to settle down as she is busy focusing on her career. She was also pictured at a lunch date with her ex-boyfriend Alex Loudon. The royal fans were excited to see Pippa with the Swiss beau, but Pippa’s ambition to be a successful nutritionist has allowed her pause her love life for the time being.
