George R.R. Martin might not be able to talk about "Winds of Winter," the highly anticipated sixth book of his series, "A Song of Ice and Fire," but he is not shying away from commenting about rumors.

A Daily Star article reported a few days ago that a "Games of Thrones" (based from "A Song of Ice and Fire") movie was in the works. The article claimed that Martin has confirmed the existence of the movie. However, he was not going to be able to work on it due to his busy schedule.

"There will be a movie but I will not be involved," Martin allegedly said. "I have too much to do. That is something HBO and the DB [Weiss] and David [Benioff] are dealing with. I have two more books to finish and I still have so much to do. The pressure is on. I am such a slow writer and the fans get upset that I don't write faster."

These comments appear to be 100 percent false. On Martin's blog, "Not a Blog" under the post "Bummer," a fan had asked if the report was true.

"Is the interview of you, saying that there is a movie on work about ROBERT'S REBELLION false?" Vasco_1Silva wrote.

Martin wrote back, "Yes, completely false. No one is working on any movie just now. And if there was a movie, it would not be about Robert's Rebellion."

Martin went on to say that the "comment is also off topic." His post was about waiting for a mural to get installed.

In the meantime, fans have been waiting for an official release date for "Winds of Winter." The book is supposed to be coming out next year. However, fans do not know if it will come out before the premiere of season 6 of "Games of Thrones" or after.

"Games of Thrones" season 6 should be premiering in the spring.
