Is Ellie Goulding trying to hint something to boyfriend Dougie Poynter?

The "On My Mind" singer recently revealed that she is ready to settle down and get married. It seems like all her boyfriend has to do now is buy the ring and pop the question!

"I do," the British singer said when asked if she wanted to get hitched. "God, yes! I'm nearly 30."

Goulding and Poynter, 27, have been dating for about a year and a half and apparently he has changed her mind about the whole idea of marriage.

"I once had a pretty warped view of marriage because so many people around me had divorced parents. So for a long time I did think that I'd never get married and that men were rubbish - all that stuff," the 28-year-old "Love Me Like You Do" singer said in the November issue of Glamour. "But when someone comes along and re-establishes that trust, [whispering now in case Dougie overhears] then it's nice to think of doing everything the traditional way: having a church wedding, with all my family in one place - I love the idea of that."

Goulding has previously talked about Poynter. In an interview with Elle, Goulding had stated, "he is definitely the one forever."

Poynter, who was a member of the British band McFly, had previously hinted that he was ready to ask Goulding for her hand in marriage. Back in June at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, Poynter was asked if he was going to marry Goulding anytime soon.

He replied, with a coy smile, "Well...I don't want to say too much. It would ruin the surprise."

Before finding true love with Poynter, Goulding was linked to One Direction's Niall Horan and Ed Sheeran. She was also believed to be the subject of Sheeran's song. "Don't," which was about a woman who had cheated on him.

"I did go on a few dates with Niall but I was never in a relationship with Ed," Goulding clarified. "I have absolutely no idea where that came from and why it was turned into such a big thing."

She added, "I find it so frustrating that female musicians are constantly defined by the men they have or haven't dated. It's something I've talked about with Taylor [Swift] a lot. She definitely feels that. She gets bothered by it. It's like, you can be a great artist, you can write great songs, but the thing that everyone is going to talk about is some relationship they think you have had or not had. It's definitely something we both think happens to female artists over male artists."

Goulding is currently preparing for the release of her third studio album, "Delirium."
