Dakota Johnson, the lead actress in the raunchy romance movie, "Fifty Shades of Grey," confirmed that filming for the sequel, "Fifty Shades Darker" is indeed starting next year.

The 25-year-old actress told Ellen DeGeneres while on her show, "ellen," on Friday, Sept. 18 that production is beginning "sometime in the new year." Johnson, however, did not reveal anything else about the highly anticipated movie, which is based on E.L. James BDSM-heavy books with the same titles.

Instead, Johnson talked about how strangers have reacted to the movie and how her parents have kept their promise of never watching it.

"Well, sometimes, people just say things that are a little bit awkward for me," Johnson admitted. "Like, I was in a cab recently, and the driver was like, 'My wife and I, we saw your film. We really liked it.' And he goes, '...I thought there could be more sex.'"

She added that nobody in her family has seen it. Johnson's famous parents are Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson. Aside from talking about the movie, Johnson revealed that she is single when the 57-year-old host asked if she noticed whether or not guys approach her differently.

"Like at a party, are people more attracted to you or you think people are scared of you?" DeGeneres asked.

"I don't know. I guess that, if those are the only two options, I guess that they're scared of me," Johnson said with a smile.

"Those are the only two options," DeGeneres jokingly replied.

"I guess they either love me or they're running for the hills. I guess they're running for the hills," Johnson said.

Rumors were circulating that she had gotten back together with her ex-boyfriend, Matthew Hitt, but it seems like the romance did not last very long.

At the end, DeGeneres gave Johnson several sex toys called, the "Ellen Blue Flogger" and "Ellen Blue Handcuffs" that she can use as props for "Fifty Shades Darker." DeGeneres also gave Johnson a blanket with the phrase, "ellen's got me covered," to use in between naked scenes.

Johnson can be seen opposite Johnny Depp in "Black Mass."
