Megan Fox will be returning to television!

The 29-year-old actress will be filling in for Zooey Deschanel, who is on maternity leave, on the FOX show, "New Girl," Variety confirmed. Fox will be playing Reagan, a pharmaceutical sales rep who rents out Deschanel's character, Jess Day's room. Jess will reportedly be gone for a while due to jury duty. Fox's character will debut on the sixth episode of the fifth season, which starts in January.

On top of this announcement, Fox has finally made a return to social media. In her Instagram post, Fox wrote, "Hi. I'm still here, I just continue to have an angsty relationship with social media. But what better way to express my apprehension than with a selfie. This time in black n white!" This is the first picture that Fox has posted since April.

Over the past few months, Fox has remained quiet on all of her social media platforms. The actress is going through a divorce with Brian Austin Green, who she was married to for five years. According to the divorce documents, Fox listed irreconcilable differences as the reason for their separation. The date of the split was listed as June 15.

The couple, who has two children together, Noah and Bodhi, will reportedly share joint physical and legal custody.

"Megan and Brian's split is a classic Hollywood story of two people in different stages of life and career," a source told PEOPLE. "Megan is young and hot and sought after for work, and she is eager to move ahead in her career. Brian wants more of her time than she can allow."

The source added, "She was overwhelmed with the children and her husband's expectations, which got in the way of work responsibilities. They had many disagreements and arguments about her time at home, which led to problems."

After "New Girls," Fox can be seen in "Zeroville" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" next year.
