Xiaomi is quickly expanding its device lineup catering to the increasing demand from Indian buyers, with the latest addition of Redmi Note 4G.

Xiaomi is aiming for a higher rank in the smartphone market after gaining dominance over Samsung in its home country in China. The Chinese smartphone vendor is expanding its presence with an impressive portfolio of smart devices in India. After weeks of tweaks, the company has finally launched its first 4G-compatible Redmi Note in India. The company partnered with Airtel, the sole provider of 4G in the nation, to get high-speed connections. But that doesn't change the traditional flash sale pattern for the Redmi Note exclusively through Flipkart.

The Redmi Note is expected to begin sales in November. The big-screen phablet will come in two variants, Redmi Note with 3G support and Redmi Note 4G LTE, without any physical differences.

The smartphone's specs are impressive for the cost that it offers. Xiaomi powers the Redmi Note with an 8-core MediaTek MT6592 1.7GHz processor, Mali-450 GPU, 2GB RAM and 8GB flash memory with microSD storage expansion up to 32GB. It features a 5.5-inch IPS 720p display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, a 3,100mAh removable battery with 2A fast charging technology. The camera sensors are impressive at 13-megapixel in the rear and 5-megapixel in the front.

The only difference with the Redmi Note 4G is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.6GHz processor 64GB microSD cards and a single SIM card slot against dual SIM support in the 3G model. The device runs on all networks, 4G LTE, 3G and 2G.

The purchase model is the same, as buyers need to register first to be eligible to buy the device. The first sale will be conducted on Tuesday, December 2, with 50,000 units in stock. If the device hits similar demand rate like its predecessors, it is likely that the company will increase its inventory.

As for the 4G version of the Redmi Note, the device will hit Airtel's retail outlets during the second half of December. Buyers can buy a new SIM for 4G network and select plans to match their needs.
