Nick Gordon has denied charges that he caused his late girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown to suffer brain damage and subsequently, death.

Gordon's rebuttal comes in documents filed before a court in response to a lawsuit the legal estate of Bobbi Kristina filed, claiming that Gordon gave the daughter of Whitney Houston a toxic cocktail of drugs and placed her face down in a tub filled with cold water. The lawsuit also alleged that Gordon physically abused Bobbi Kristina and stole money from her during her hospitalization. Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in her house on January 31 this year and died July 26 before she could regain conscious.

"[The original lawsuit] contains several unsupported conclusory, untrue, criminal accusations that Defendant Nicholas Gordon committed acts that he simply did not do. [The] plaintiff has not provided any evidence including but not limited to affidavits, police reports, indictments, or any other documentation to support baseless claims against Defendant Nicholas Gordon," read a part of the motion, according to ABC News.

E! News further reported that Gordon admitted in his response he and Bobbi Kristina were not legally married but the latter considered him her husband. He also admitted having an argument with the 22-year-old aspiring actress after reviewing video tapes. One version of the events of what happened on January 31 is that Gordon found Bobbi Kristina with another man.

Gordon however denied that he gave her drugs or placed her in a tub. He has claimed that he performed CPR on Bobbi Kristina when he found her unconscious.
