In what could be described as bizarre, a woman in UK has accused another of having sex with her for two years pretending to be a man.

According to Daily Mail, Gayle Newland is facing charges of sexual assault between February and June 2013 during which she allegedly had sex with another woman pretending to be the latter's boyfriend. The complainant has alleged that Newland used a prosthetic penis during sexual encounters when she was blindfolded. The accused allegedly pretended to be a man who was being treated for cancer.

A trial court heard that the victim received a friend request on Facebook from a half-Filipino, half-Latino man named Kye Fortune in 2011. The pair drew close after communicating online. Initially, Fortune said he could not meet the victim citing ill-health. During the same time the victim met Newland who became a really good friend of the victim. Newland told the other woman she knew Fortune.

Fortune and Kye eventually met at a hotel. Before the victim could see him, Fortune insisted she wear a blindfold as he was ashamed of scars from brain tumor treatment. The couple had sex when the victim complied.

Fortune and the victim met over the next few months. It was in the victim's apartment when his real identity came to light.

"I was sat on the bed, he was standing up. Something in my mind said 'pull it (the blindfold) off, pull it off'. I just pulled it off. Gayle was just standing there... I just couldn't believe it, I couldn't believe it. Straight away she held her hand down over her face and said 'it's not what you think'," the victim told the jury according to The Telegraph.
