Mad Men's Jon Hamm Breaks Up With Jennifer Westfeldt After 18 Years

Mad Men actor, Jon Hamm and long-term girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt joined other Hollywood celebrities who decided to end their union this year.

After eighteen years of being together, the couple released a joint statement expressing their intention to separate ways.

"With great sadness, we have decided to separate, after 18 years of love and shared history. We will continue to be supportive of each other in every way possible moving forward," they said as mentioned in a report from People.

The long-term couple was last seen at the premiere after-party for Netflix's Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp in New York.

In those happier times, Hamm, 45 and Westfeldt, 44 are seen 'canoodling' with each other.

Earlier this year, separation rumors came into the open after the actor completed his 30-day rehab program to combat alcoholism, Entertainment Weekly reported.

However, a representative for the couple is quick to correct the rumors which originally appeared in InTouch magazine is 'not true.'

"The only gentleman Jennifer visited regularly in Connecticut was Jon, while he was in rehab. They continue to ask for the public's understanding and sensitivity during this challenging time," the rep said.

In a 2010 interview, Hamm proclaimed the actress-screenwriter as the love of his life despite his not possessing the 'marriage chip,' Today said.

"I don't have the marriage chip, and neither of us have the greatest examples of marriage in our families. But Jen is the love of my life, and we've already been together four times longer than my parents were married," the actor once said.

Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt started dating in 1997 and had worked together in the 2011 film Friends with Kids.
