Angelina Jolie News Update: Actress Celebrates First Wedding Anniversary with Brad Pitt Amid Divorce Rumors
Hollywood's "A" couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who have been the subject of divorce rumors, just celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary.
The couple, who got married on Aug. 23, 2014 after being in a relationship for 10 years, spent the anniversary allegedly working on the Jolie-directed film, "By The Sea," which they both star in. The romance-drama is reportedly just one of the many hurdles the couple has had to face during their first year of marriage.
"By The Sea," which comes out on Nov. 13, 2015, is about a couple who are struggling with their marriage. Jolie has talked about how they both used emotions from their real lives when they were acting out the fight scenes, which led many people to assume that they have been fighting a lot and would be getting a divorce very soon.
The rumors have been claiming that the fights stem from numerous problems. First, one report stated Pitt has been frustrated with Jolie's work schedule, which has been keeping her away from their children. Another report said that Jolie wanted to file a divorce due to Pitt's womanizing habits. One more report stated that the couple argued after being invited to the wedding of Pitt's ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston.
Despite all of these alleged issues, Pitt's mom, Jane, is reportedly the reason why the couple has not given up.
"Jane believes that marriage is a life-long commitment and that all problems are fixable," a source had said previously to Life & Style, via Celeb Dirty Laundry.
"She came down really hard on both of them for not trying hard enough. She told them that a lot of the problems that they see as insurmountable - like career conflicts or fighting about where to live, are rich Hollywood problems. Both Brad and Angelina were embarrassed when she called them vain and selfish."
The movie has also brought the couple closer. Jolie recently talked about working with her husband again.
"I understand and appreciate his creative process and his work ethic even more than before," she had said.
The couple has six children together, Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, Pax and twins, Knox and Vivienne.
